Steve Stricker

PGA Championship Steve StrickerDespite eleven professional wins, Steve has yet to make his mark on the Major tournaments, he has had seven top ten finishes so far with his best effort coming in the PGA Championship in 1998 where he was 2nd, behind Vijay Singh. He also came 7th in this event in 2006, when Tiger Woods won. Steve's professional career seemed to be heading downhill fast fromm 2001. He spent a long time in the golfing doldrums and did not really get back to his best until 2006, indeed three of his Major top ten finishes has come in the last two years and he has spent 25 weeks in the top ten since 2007. His form this year has slipped somewhat from the highs of 2007, but he has still managed a creditable four top ten finishes that has kept him high in the world rankings. Steve is currently ranked 10th in the world.

Playing Style

Steve has worked very hard over the last few years to re-capture his all round game. He now has a solid Game, although his driving is not the best. His short game has improved hugely and he is as good as ever on the greens.
