2012 USPGA Championship Contenders - Luke Donald

PGA Championship Luke DonaldEnglishman, Luke Donald has still yet to fulfill his huge potential and win a first Major. So far he has had three top ten finishes, two at the US Masters, finishing third behind Tiger Woods in 2005 and then two years later he was T10th behind Zach Johnson. He was also tied third, alongside, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott, in the 2006 PGA Championship, again won by Tiger Woods. Luke had earned a reputation for being consistent but not necessarily a winner, he has changed that recently though as he has risen up the rankings and he now has ten wins on his CV.

Luke prefers to play his golf in the USA, but he still plays a number of tournaments on the European Tour and he has simply been awesome so far in 2011, he has been so consistent and that has seen him rise to the very top of the world rankings. He has had a number of wins in 2011 with his best performance coming in the WGC World Match Play in Arizona, he won that well before going back to home soil to claim the BMW PGA Championship to take the top spot in the rankings.
