Luke Donald - Absent

PGA Championship Luke DonaldEnglishman, Luke Donald has still yet to fulfil his huge potential and win a first Major. So far he has had three top ten finishes, two at the US Masters, finishing third behind Tiger Woods in 2005 and then two years later he was T10th behind Zach Johnson. He was also tied third, alongside, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott, in the 2006 PGA Championship, again won by Tiger Woods. Luke has earned a reputation for being consistent but not necessarily a winner, he has won only five Professional tournaments thus far, but has many top ten finishes which has kept him high up in the world rankings.

He had four top ten tournament finishes last year but his last win in fact was the Honda Classic in 2006, where he beat world ranked number four, Geoff Ogilvie by two strokes. Luke prefers to play his golf in the USA, but he still plays a number of tournaments on the European Tour.

World Ranking

Luke is currently ranked 25th in the world.

Playing Style

Luke has one of the better looking swings in the world and is a very accurate iron player. Not particularly long and not alwasy accurate off the tee, Luke often makes up for lost ground with his excellent short game and putting.
