Justin Rose
Justin Rose has risen rapidly in the Golf world rankings due mainly to his consistency, he has only ever been in the top ten of Major Tournaments on four occasions and one of them was 10 years ago as an amateur, when he led the British Open for a while at Royal Birkdale before finally finishing 4th. He was 17 years old at the time and great things were expected of him after he turned Professional. Unfortunately his game did not continue in the same vein and it is only over the last 3 years that he has begun to make a real mark on the world game. 2007 was a particularly good year for him, in the Majors he finished 5th in the Masters and 10th in the US Open. That year he also won the Volvo Masters on the European tour and enjoyed a further eight top ten tournament finishes. He was also a very creditable 12th in the PGA. He has yet to hit the high spots in 2008 so far, he has only made one top ten finish. This poor un of form has sen his ranking slip to 16th. It is interesting to see the comparison of his two results in the British Open's played at royal Birkdale. As mentioned above he was 4th as a 17 year old amateur but as a top ten profesional this year he finished in a tie for 70th place
World Ranking
Justin is currently ranked 16th in the world, but he has been as high as 6th.
Playing Style
Justin is very much an all game player but he often slips up on the putting surface. His driving is not the longest on tour, averaging 278 yards, but this year for instance he ranks 6th on Eagles scored. He is an excellent course manager and has a very stylish swing.
