Henrik Stenson
Following an excellent year in 2007, where Henrik reached number five in the world rankings and won two tournaments, his winning form appears to have deserted him somewhat this year. On the bright side he has achieved six top ten finishes, including two runner-up spots, firstly at the Qatar Masters, where he finished behind Adam Scott and then was second again at the Abu Dhabi Championship. He has only missed one cut so far this year and that was at the US Open. His performances in the Major Golf events do not reflect what a very good player Henrik is; although he has yet to gain a top ten place in any of the big four so far in his career, this will surely has to change soon. His best performance so far in a Major was at the British Open this year where he tied for 3rd place. He was also T17th this year in the US Masters, behind winner, Trevor Immelman In total Henrik has won six European Tour events and one WGC.
World Ranking
He is currently ranked 11th in the world.
Playing Style
Henrik has a very stylish swing that is the envy of many of the tour players. He hits the ball a long way and his iron play is also amongst the best. If anything it is his short game that needs to improve, particularly when playing Major tournaments where he can expect greater difficulty.
