Geoff Ogilvy
Geoff Ogilvie is a one time Major winner who won the US Open in 2006, by one shot from Colin Montgomerie, Jim Furyk and Phil Mickelson. Since then he has become one of the top players in the world. He has a good record at the PGA, with three top ten finishes in the last three years. He was 6th last year, 9th the year before and 6th in 2005.He is clearly knocking on the door to win here this year. He has a 5th place spot in the British Open in 2005 and was a very creditable 9th in this year’s US Open. He has also won two World Golf Championship events, the Accentura Matchplay in 2006 and the CA Championship earlier this year. In this years event he had the likes of Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk, Vijay Singh and Retief Goosen all tied second, behind him. That win proved beyond any doubt that Geoff has what it takes to compete at the very top and he must have a good chance to win this year.
